AWEC is a small, independent environmental consultancy led by Andrew West. Clients deal directly with Andrew, who remains involved throughout the project and brings in other consultants or specialists where required.
The practice works with landowners, developers, engineers, businesses and public-sector clients across George, the Garden Route and surrounding areas.

Serving the Garden Route
Based in George, we are well positioned to support projects across the Garden Route, including Mossel Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn and the surrounding Southern Cape.
The region includes a diverse range of environments — from coastal dunes, estuaries and indigenous forest to fynbos, farmland and growing urban areas. Conditions can vary significantly over short distances, making local environmental context an important consideration in project planning and assessment.
Projects elsewhere in the Southern Cape and Western Cape are also considered on request.
